LYE — the League of Young Entrepreneurs — is a youth-driven platform created to empower, connect, and elevate young African entrepreneurs. It was founded on the belief that Africa’s future will not be built by waiting for opportunities, but by creating them.

Across the continent, young people are starting businesses, launching creative ventures, and solving real problems with limited resources but limitless determination. LYE exists to ensure those efforts are seen, supported, and strengthened.

 

Our Roots
 

LYE was born from firsthand experience with young entrepreneurs who had ideas, ambition, and work ethic — but lacked access to mentorship, exposure, funding pathways, and supportive networks. Many were building in isolation, without guidance or recognition.

The League of Young Entrepreneurs was created to close that gap.

Our roots are grounded in African resilience and innovation. From informal traders and creatives turning passion into profit, to tech founders and social entrepreneurs addressing community challenges, LYE reflects the real entrepreneurial spirit of Africa — practical, bold, and community-oriented.
